Why this matters to me
With my grandmother Margaret, who passed away in February 2025 – it was different. While visiting her in Los Angeles, I couldn't preserve her story the way I wanted – she was no longer in full strength, our conversations had to be frequently interrupted.
Still, her words recorded on film will remain with our family forever.
From need, a project was born
That's why I created Cinematic Autobiography – through which I want to help others do what I couldn't: preserve family memories in a form that will last generations.

Mimo to, jej słowa już na zawsze pozostaną z naszą rodziną.
Z potrzeby narodził się projekt
Dlatego stworzyłem Pamiętnik Filmowy — poprzez który pragnę pomóc innym zrobić to, czego sam nie mogłem: zachować rodzinne wspomnienia w formie, która przetrwa pokolenia.

Portretowałem mocno doświadczonych życiem bohaterów - wychowanków zakładów poprawczych, gwiazdy muzyczne występujące na największych scenach a nawet chłopaka z Madagaskaru, który po spaleniu jego wioski w wieku 15 lat szedł boso przez trzy dni, aby dotrzeć do szkoły i zdobyć edukację.
Każdy z tych bohaterów inspirował na swój własny, wyjątkowy sposób. Ich historie, które miałem przywilej pokazać na ekranach kin, poruszały do łez tysiące widzów. To właśnie te głębokie, autentyczne opowieści o ludzkim duchu i determinacji stanowią serce mojej twórczości dokumentalnej.
Wiem, że historii wartych zachowania jest znacznie więcej. Żałuję każdej nieodkrytej opowieści, która wraz z czasem i śmiercią odchodzi w niepamięć. Wierzę, że za pomocą Pamiętnika Filmowego, uda mi się zachować ich jak najwięcej.
Experience and vision
I've portrayed deeply life-experienced subjects — graduates of juvenile detention centers, music stars performing on the biggest stages, and even a boy from Madagascar who, after his village was burned when he was 15, walked barefoot for three days to reach school and get an education.
Each of these protagonists inspired in their own unique way. Their stories, which I had the privilege of showing on cinema screens, moved thousands of viewers to tears. These deep, authentic stories about the human spirit and determination are at the heart of my documentary work.
I know there are far more stories worth preserving. I regret every undiscovered story that fades into oblivion with time and death.
I believe that through Cinematic Autobiography, I can preserve as many as possible.
